Hello, I'm new to this scene. I'm about to buy another PS2 and I think I'm going to try and have a HD fitted to it. I have a few questions first however.

My main question is where can the best HD Loader be bought, or which website is the real one? And which version is the latest?

Do I need a modchip installed to play games off my HD using the latest loader?

And my last question is.. Is it possible to play PS1 games off a Hard Drive on the PS2?

1.)you can buy the hdloader or you can go to sksapps and download it, make an exploit with a ps1 disc(also a guide on sksapps.com), and do it that way. It is not worth your money to buy it when you can get a full working one for free.
2.)No modchip is need to play he games but a hard drive is. you will need some way of booting the hd loader i.e-swap magic, modchip, or exploit. Although i would recommend the exploit you can use swap magic..
3.)It is not possible to play ps1 games off the hard drive using any hd loader program or hd advance(same program different name)
