I have searched the forum and followed what advice I can, but am still having the folowing problem.

Although I have been able to make backup copies from images which work on the Xbox 360, if I try to then read these burned DVD's back onto my computer to create a new image to make a second backup copy (having deleted the previous image), it will not read past 51% on the DVD and always fails.

My DVD writer is an NEC-2510 which has been updated with Liggy's NEC 2510 bitsetting firmware 2.0A
I am using CloneCD Version 5.2.9.1
The media I am using are Infiniti 360, see

I suspect that the problem may lie with the media, but as the backups work on the 360 and it always fails at exactly the same point but wondered if anyone had encountered the same problem and could provide a solution.

I think the problem is in the way the discs have burned rather than the reader, as I have tried to read them in on a friends computer who has a pioneer 111D with v1.29 firmware and it stops at the same point when reading. However backups made from another source read in on his computer without problem.

Thought i'd answer my own question just in case anyone else encounters the same problem. I tried with another brand of DL DVD+R recommended by my local computer shop 'Mirror' (see www.mirrorproducts.com) and had exactly the same problem reading the discs back in on my computer.

However, when I switched to a Verbatim disc it read back in perfectly on my computer so it looks like those expensive babies are the answer to my problem and i'm gonna stock up on them.

Moral is the you should believe all the messages staying stick to Verbatim because they're the best and not get tempted into buying cheaper alternatives even if they're alleged to work fine for backups.
