Ok this is the second mobo I went through.. I have 2 Ps2's one with burnt laser.. The first one is v13 slim i modded it sucssfully hot glued the joints and pluged it in and worked fine soon as I put the metal cover around the motherboard the LED would go green for 1 second then back to red. I took the metal cover back off and it still did the same thing..

The second mobo V12.. I had it all set up perfect again.. i went the extra mile by gluing and taping all joints so they wouldent ground out.. pluged it in without the metal sheet worked find.. soon as I put the metal sheet one the LED turned red for 5 seconds then the LED went off and no activity and the power button wouldn't work..

Now i tryed using the switch on the old MOBO the green led came on for a second but it was very dim and faded out and hasent worked since then. Could it be just the switch.. is there a way I can test the switch???...

Because on the first mobo it use to turn on for 1 sec than turn off and dosent do anything anymore which is weird so thats why i think its the switch..
