Ok. so i just figured it out and i think this will help some people. well hopefully. so you can load hdloader from the hard drive using a matrix infinity.

first off, you need to have a matrix infinity and go
here

dl that and dl hdloader from some site. i forgot which one it is right now. anyways, just unrar that file, and get the hdloader elf and rename it to boot.elf then write all that to a cd and there you go. run it and it should be good. you should then go to the matrix infinity menu at start up (press ^ and 0 on startup) and change the boot to dev 2. bing you are done. now when you turn on your ps2, you will go directly to hdloader!

Yes booting HDL in dev2 mode is a wonderful thing with the MI chip. You cant go wrong with the MI. Great post man!

MI is great, though i DO have a clone, my next mods are gonna include an original Matrix Infinity, amd DMS4.
