Help new to this site - and son has problem with his 1.5 psp

Hi and thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully you can help me out
last year my son got a psp 1.5 version white for xmas and we cant find no site now that he can just download games for.
today he brought pro evolution soccer 6 for his psp now when he tries to play it it says error fffffed3 (wtf is that mean) and it gives him the option to install ver 2.81 so we do that and it says a later version of the system software is already installed and there is no need to update!!!!!!!! anyone got a clue
i would be grate ful and son is upset and i have brough a few games for him for xmas too

the best thing you could probably do is to upgrade then downgrader then install devhook from psphacks.

cheers but i aint got a clue what im doing as my ex left it with me to deal with and he use to sort the stuff out with his bro who he got it from, so im sorry but can you explain what i need to do and i will try it and will that stop my son using the games he has downloaded??? cos that what we got told my son will lose the 1.5 version on his memory stick

thanks crazy i tried downloading the 2.71 but i dont have PBP or summat on my comp and i can open it so i havent downloaded other do i need extra on my laptop thanks sorry to be a nuisance

You dont open it on your computer. Put the EBOOT.PBP into X:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP). Then plug in the AC adapter and go to GAME-->Memory Stick on your PSP to update.
