Hi,

I read somewhere on here that you are forced to go on line to xbox live to update the game, now what I can't remember was if thats just copies/originals of xbox games or copies of 360 games as well.

I don't intend to go on live as I've heard some units have been banned, plus id have to splash out another £60 on a wireless adapter.

Anyone know if you have to go on to live when you play a back up of a 360 game.

I haven't heard of anyone getting their 360 banned on XBox live.

Gold if you want to play games online, Silver if you don't. No one has gotten banned on live with a 360! That is total Bull shit

I didn't mean banned, but when their 360's were updated by live recently they could no longer use their machines as they came up with an 'ERROR 66' message and they cannot use their 360 at all.

They have to get the old firmware installed and then reflash it.

This could be a deliberate thing by MS, I don't know.

You don't need Live... but if you ever get on you'll be addicted. The "error 66" is a thing of the past. It's been solved.
