PC slowdown with some dvd ripping.....

Pirates of the carribein is slowing down my pc and using like 96-99% cpu. Do some movies use more CPU to rip? im ripping with dvd fab decrypter. My cpu is a Athlon 3800+ 64 2.4ghz. The pc runs other stuff just you can notice its slower and i cant play music to much while it ripps lol i have 1.5gig of ram.

HP AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4Ghz
1.5 Gig DDR SDRAM PC3200
200 Gig Harddrive 7200RPM
Nvidia Geforce 8600GT 512meg(PCI-E)
Windows XP Media Center 2005 Edition

sounds like you have to many things running while you are doing, you realy don't want to do much while you are ding your encoding or burning, you can get errors, try closing some programs, like in the sys tray, while you are doing your thing.

nvm i foudn the problem dam DMA changed to PIO again O.o these newer movies are starting to stress the drive more and cause it to swicth to PIO lol

If you're using Win XP (PRO), then all you need to do is "uninstall" its drivers and it will reverse back to DMA Mode.

How to fix DMA issue guide, help yourself.
