I have the DVD version of swapmagic.
It even says so on the boot screen.
Why is it only loading CD Ps2 games and backups?
It doesn't even boot actual DVD games, let alone backups.
Any ideas on what's wrong?
I tried looking around at other topics but none of them helped.
thanks. :)

Which "actual DVD games" have you tried to boot?
Maybe you just happen to be trying the games that don't work with Swap Magic...

I've tried about 10 of them.
None work.
Mark of Kri, GTA 3, The Great Escape to name a few off the top of my head.

Is it the actual retail version of Swap Magic? Not something you downloaded and burned?
There are 2 discs that come with Swap Magic: 1 prepressed CD for playing CD-ROMs labelled "CD ROM DRIVER", 1 prepressed DVD for playing DVD-ROMs labelled "DVD ROM DRIVER".
Which disc are you using?

Hmm, well.
Mine only came with 1 disc.
However, I bought it online from a fraud website...
Obviously I didn't know it at the time.
But luckily, I was one of the few who got their products.
The disc says, "ULTIMATE COLLECTION V 2.0," on it

Nothing like that is labeled.
It does say DVD Swapmagic 3.6 when I turn it on and all...
Could this be the problem?

Sounds like it is just the CD version then.
There is a method for booting DVD games from the CD version. I saw it posted somewhere on this forum.

Hmmm, can anyone link me?
If not, should I try and buy another?
The program looks the same as DVD on the boot screen, but I'm guessing it isn't.

Sorry, nevermind the link part.
I found it.
I should have just looked.
Anyway, how could it be the CD swapper if it has the DVD boot screen?
Thanks

You SHOULD be able to do a TOC refresh and load DVDs if it were the CD version.
