I used the NTFS4DOS cd. I have a samsung 28 drive. I have the vt6421 sata card with a newer motherboard with 4 sata connections on board. Following textbooks guide I did the xtreme boot maker step. Then the ntfs4dos cd followed all directions and it says no ORIG.BIN found. Under bios there is no option to change raid on this computer. Any help please? Thank you in advance.

Also, Is the usb flash method better? I didnt hex edit anything. I thought the vt6421 had the pre hex edited MTKflash that I downloaded. And if I disconnect the sata harddrive on computer, I thought xtreme bootmaker puts something on the harddrive that I am supposed to disconnect?

Disable RAID and disconnect every drive you have except the 360 drive. If you use NTFS4DOS then don't disable your boot drive. I'd just rather use a floppy though.

I have tried this on 2 different computers now. On the 3 year old one in dos when I type the drive letter D:\ enter it says bad command no matter which letter I type. On the new computer and the old one under bios menu there is no option to change raid anywhere. how do I change raid? Everybody says this but wont explain it. I disabled all 4 sata connections on the motherboard. On Both computers I install the VT6421 pci card and the drivers and they show up on device manager but not in dos. If I disable all sata connections on motherboard I wont have any HDD working, don't I need a hard drive connected while in dos because extreme bootmaker put the xbf folder on C drive. How about a nice long well explained answer?

Have you looked into any tutorials? I haven't flashed many Samsung drives so i can't give you the hand holding walk-through. The VIA card detected with me and everything worked fine. I used a floppy though.
You check your RAID in during POST. Most computers you hit either F3 or Delete to get into the BIOS menu. You won't have an orig.bin file until you make one with mkflash.
