so I m a fresh faced rookie to all this and so far I have downgraded my PSP to v1.5 but I just don't know what I have to do Next to be able to play games (or .iso's??) there's lot of info on here about how to Downgrade psp's and and making adjustments afterwards but need an idiots guide to what is needed launchers emulators etc. and the difference's then how to load game files and open them.

I know this is alot to ask for but I m sure theres loads of newbies like me desperate to understand what you guy's are all talking about on these forums. we all need to start some where.

And so I hand this challenge over to you all. Good luck!

well to start youll need, quite a big memory card. if so youll need the newest devhook which loads the ISO backups
go here for a video tutorial and all the files etc.
once all that is installed you need some iso's, ( try sites like www.pspiso.com www.pspunderworld.com etc ) then make a folder called ISO (must be in caps) on your memory card root (first screen you see when you open it in my computer), once you obtain your game, place the ISO ile in the ISO folder, then launch Devhook, select your game and away to go

thanks guys I'll give that a go. I have tried reading the guide but as I am so new to it all it's hard to know what some of it all means as there are alot of abreviations.

it's probly quite annoying when newbies like me keep asking simple questions but if anyone else reads this and is confused with some of the terms I have just found this which helps explain the meanings of things here

So were you able to load emulated 3.02? The ISO file should be in X:\ISO\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP). You have to go to UMD SELECT when you start DevHook and then chose your ISO. Then insert a UMD and once you are in emulated 3.02, go to GAME-->UMD and your ISO will load.

it's an understandable mistake, but like he said the ISO should be placed in:

X:\ISO\

you've got it in

X:\PSP\GAME

No problem. Since your PSP comes up as the E drive, just put the ISO into E:\ISO\

Im betting my money on he extracted the iso because they usually have WinRAR icons. If u extracted something from a WinRAR file and then got another WinRAR file. the new WinRAR file was the iso file.

Well those files and folders should be inside a folder named PSP_GAME, and ur missing the umd_data.bin to rebuild it. Did you download it from the net? If you did then go back and reextract the iso file. This time dont extract the 1 big WinRAR file it gives you.

Pease help! Im so close I can almost smell it!!!!!!!

I'am using v51 but just seen on another forum someone with a simillar problem and he suggested doing a flash install for flash:1?

I did this but it said:

'flash:0 and Flash1: can install an only one firmware version.'
'if there is another version already, remove before install.'

now I did have Dev v46 but I uninstalled it? is there some file I need to delete??

thnkyou for any help.
