I've been trying to rip disc 1 of the DaVinci Code without much success. First I tried DVD X Copy Platinum and got an error message. Next I tried AnyDVD and DVD Shrink 3.2 and got part way through before an error message came up. My last resort was DVD Fab Decrypter and VobBlanker which took forever to copy the files to DVD Fab Decrypter and when it reached VobBlanker it stopped with an error message. After several tries, my drive didn't see the Da Vinci Code DVD indicating that there was no disc in the drive. Has anyone been successful in ripping this DVD? If so, please tell me how.

search the forums. You'll find what you want to know. ...Maybe. If all your programs are up to date and you still can't back up this movie, the issue isn't with the disc... unless you have a bad press.

I searched the forums but a new problem arose. After to trying to burn The Da Vinci Code ans failing my DVD/CD-R drive (Samsung DVD-ROM SD616E) fails to see any disc that is in the drive. It seems odd that this occurred after trying to burn the DVD. What could have happened and how do I fix it?

A funny thing happened; maybe my Samsung DVD-CD drive was acting up because I copied the disc using my burn drive (NEC DVD-RW ND-3550A) with DVD XCopy Platinum and the burn went smooth as silk. My Read Only drive would not play any DVDs before the burn and I thought it was defective but after the burn it began to act normal. I still can't figure out what caused the original problem.

Either DVDFab Decrypter or RipIt4Me (both are FREE) can handle DAVINCI CODE easily.

Best of luck!!

I ripped this disc with no problems on running AnyDVD and using Shrink to rip.

You gotta love technology. :)
