PSTwo (Slim) - Loading Swap Magic ELF

Hi everyone.

Hardware:
(1) I have a PSTwo slimline in a Ghost Mod Case (the sensor next to the various inputs in the back is always covered and there is a ghost switch for the sensor near the power switch).
(2) I have an AR Max EVO disc and usb stick for loading COGSWAP.elf using the steps found in Ace's "A TRUE working exploit for slim PlayStation 2s" guide.

Problem:
The majority of burned games work with COGSWAP, but some only work with SWAP MAGIC. Therefore, I tried to get SWAP MAGIC to work. I found a SWAP MAGIC 3.3 ELF and a SWAP MAGIC 3.8 ELF online. I was able to successfully boot both files through uLAUNCH; however, they are not functional.
The steps I thought I was supposed to use were
(1) Load SWAP MAGIC
(2) Turn off the ghost switch (so that PS2 knows the cover is open) (3) Put in an original high TOC disc and turn on the ghost switch (so that SWAP MAGIC can load it)
(4) Then, SWAP MAGIC would display something like "Insert own program disc", and I would put in the burned game and press X.

However, on my slimline, the SWAP MAGIC ELFs don't load the high TOC discs. The SWAP MAGIC 3.3 ELF always displays "invalid PS2 disc" and the SWAP MAGIC 3.8 ELF doesn't display anything at all. Please help. By the way, these ELFs work on chubby PS2s, so there should be a way to use them on slimlines. Please help. Thanks.
