Hey guys,

I'm sorta new to Halo 2 and i recently found out u can get modding without a chip, but everything ive read makes it seem really hard so i was wandering if anyone can help me find a easy way to get softmodding without a chip or without screwing up my xbox. this will mainly be used for xbox live so i dont wanna get banned either

If there were an easier way, you would've found it already. What you've read is what needs to be done. Come on.... you're the modking... "you can dooo it" :)

well ive got a laptop its a dell its the inspiron 710m and i have a 360 so i need to know what to download and what connection i need to be using

He meant what kind of drive is in the 360.. Hitachi or Samsung. And you have to open the 360 to get which firmware is already on whatever particular drive you have.

idk how to tell which xbox 360 firmware i have all i know is that its a normal xbox so whichever one is most common i prob. have

The only ones are Hitachi and Samsung. They seem to be about 50/50
