what firmware is this, and can it be 'fixed'?

So yesterday I finally completed my acquisition of my gf's PSP (she gave it to me for my bday lol), although there's one small issue that I have with it, and I need some insight from people that know more about this than I do.
And just to clarify, she's had it for about a year, and I know it's not a TA-082, so that won't be an issue.
Now there's a couple of things I'd like to know...
First off, what firmware would produce this? (perhaps the font or wallpaper could give it away -- I checked the firmware dump that it was installed from and it's one of the packaged wallpapers)

(I find the version number to be quite worrisome atm)
and more importantly, is it fixable by any means (without flashing over 2.71)? Perhaps force-downgrading it to 1.5? (if that's even possible)
I've tried flashing it to 2.71, but it told me that there's already a newer version installed, and I'm weary about doing anything else atm, in fear of bricking my PSP. So any insight, information, or reassurance would be greatly appreciated.

u no, i dont think u can do anything cuz its spoofed. i dont know if a spoof effects a downgrade but u can try to downgrade. u cant flash 2.71 onto 2.71 thats why it isnt allowing u.
Also ive never heard of spoofing 2.71?!

Are you sure the spoofed firmware is actually built on 2.71 tho? How would one go about finding out?
More importantly though, is there any possible way to overwrite this firmware, short of using a soldering iron, that wouldn't leave me with a glorified paper weight?
If so, could someone please point me in the right direction?
(btw, I'm not really interested in a "well it might work" solution. I can still play games with it in its current incarnation, so unless it's a sure-fire thing, I'm not going to try it.)

It might have to do you, i have never heard of V7.05... try restoring default settings.

That was one of the first things I tried. It didn't do anything but the usual.. choose language, set time, etc etc.

Formatting the memory stick didn't do anything either.
Would it be possible to remedy this by using something like an older version of x-flash, or another program that can spoof version numbers?
Also, in ms0:\\Downdater\Dump\vsh\etc there was an aptly named file: version.txt
Honestly I can't make heads or tails from it aside from the fact that it's a 1.5 fw. This is what it contained:

And it's just a small hunch here, but after doing some mild research, it seems like a lot of the stuff done to this psp was done with x-flash. the custom monthly wallpapers (which would explain the horrible nba wallpaper that you saw lol), the fw version spoofing, custom fonts, etc.
Thoughts? Would it be possible to reverse some of these things by using x-flash? ....and then going about my business upgrading to 2.71..?

Ok, come to find out, that's all it was. Easily fixed the version spoof with an old version of X-Flash (v9b). I ran Sony's 1.50 version updater for sake of thoroughness, and it read back that 1.50 was already installed.
All in all I guess it was a false alarm.. but at least I've learned quite a bit about my PSP today lol
So I should be able to upgrade to 2.71 SE-C just fine... and some time down the road should I want to upgrade to a stock 3.02 or whatever I'd have no problems with that, would I?

Yeah you could upgrade to 3.02 in the future.
But why would you want to do that? With firmware 1.5/2.71 SE-C/2.71 you can use DevHook to emulate 3.02 and use all its features.

Well I just meant it theoretically... say, when the next easily hackable version is released, whenever that may be. :)
