ok i have had swap magic and a flip top for over a year... so im not like jus getting it.. AND it has worked flawlessy for that year.

Now my problem, after not using my PS2 for roughly 1-2 months I noticed that my ps2 was hit or miss reading the swap magic disc (DVD).. which it had read 100 percent of the time until then. Now its mostly miss, it will sometimes read it and show "PLaystation 2" and then go back to the memory card screen, once it reads the disc again it will come up "Please insert a PLaysation 2 formatted disc".. (the red screen). I was led to think that my disc tray was a little loose, but it plays ps2 originals just fine... i also thought that the swap magic dvd disc might have been scratched.. but then i attempted to use my swap magic cd rom disc.. which i have never even taken out of the casing b4.. that didn't even boot up at all. all the backups i own are on sony dvds so i dont think it has anything to do with bad media (plus the games never skip once they get on.. itsjus the swap disc).. any ideas?

you mite need to get your ps2 professionally cleaned.cleaning it yourself is easy but can ruin it even more.so leta pro do it for like 20 bucks.
