My swap magic 3.6 CD version wont boot up all i hear is clicking. I also researched on how to boot games using your harddrive and i found that you need to use hdloader. Now, i downloaded it from the site, burned it onto a dvd (since theres no point on cd), and says not a valid ps2 disc. So im thinking i got screwed by my swap magic cd disc or is there any other way to boot up cd based games with a swap magic dvd disc, or do i have to call the place i got it from and demand an exchange?

Try your cd version in another ps2.
If it dont work, then it most probly is a bad dispatch, and you should tell the people where your bought it from for a refund or something.

If you have a usb stick you can stick the hdloader.elf file onto that, and boot from the usb using swap magic dvd. But if I was you, I would still want to demand a working cd version.

Search this forum for booting from usb etc.

ok so i managed to find a working dvd version of hdloader, and to my surprise, my 10gb maxtor HDD (made in 1999 by the way) works, so im going to store some games on my 10 gb HDD now.

As for the cd of swap magic, i guess i should call the guys and see whats going on.
