This just happened yesterday. My gamecube has been working fine up until now (got it when they first came out).

When I press the power button, the orange light on the top flashes and then goes out, and when I open the gamecube the disc is not spinning. Nothing happens on the screen. Is there any way to fix this?

your processor is dead

time for a new cube sorry

this is a common problem with gamecubes the fan stops working or the fan sends a surge into the processor or the graphics processor and frys the heck out of it

my friend had a gamecube that the fan self destructed and fryed the console

This happened to me too around the same date as yours. There is no other way to fix? Is the modchip dead too? Noooo!!! I can still feel the fan blow some air. Not sure if it's the same speed as before though. I tried another power cord so it's definately not that.

Wanted to buy: Working Max Drive Pro Gamecube Disk, not the card. Wanted to sell: NGC Component cables for $70 shipped in US. PM me.

Thats unfortunte, because if you can't get the default boot up (when theres no disk in), then the whole units dead.
I have a GC that doesn't spin, but fortunetly the menu thingy comes up, so all I need to do is replace the optical drives motor most likely. Though replacing the whole optical drive is probably easier.

Did you try it with programmer? Mine works when I have the programmer plugged in. I reflashed the bios with Cobra 1.6 but still requires the programmer to be plugged in to run. What is wrong with the cube then? It's not the best to keep the programmer plugged in.
