Hey everyone, I have a slim PS2 Version 14 and I'm having a little difficulty getting the solder to stick at a point and wondering if anyone has any tips / suggestions to help me out. I'm using a Xeno PS modchip and it's on a GH-041-14 board of chich the diagram can be found here from divineo the points are B,G,H and I which have no metal on them just circuit board traces. This is the only problem I'm having I have all the other points soldered but I can't get the wires or solder to stick there. What I do with the wires is a strip then and then tin them with solder and if it's soldering on any metal surfaces (little metal pads for example) which I find makes it a little easier. So if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts you're help would be appreciated.

clean the spots by scraping (with a razor blade carefully) to remove the green then clean with alcohol and use flux. they'll stick every time.
