So you guys might remember me from awhile ago. Busted my PSP. Just received a new one...

"TA-082" from the box code I believe. Is it possible to downgrade to 1.5? I still have the memory card from my old one, with Devhook and all that shit.

No you can't downgrade a TA-082 PSP. However you can still run DevHook and ISOs on firmware 2.71, just follow this guide:

That seems so freakin complicated to me :\

If I open the box, I can't return the PSP to the store...I'm thinking I might just return it then look for a used 2.0 or something...What do you guys think?

That guide isn't that complicated. You dont have to follow all of it. Just scroll down to the "2.71 ta-082 only 3.02 emulation" part and follow the steps.

Thanks, so by it being a "TA-082" it guarentees it as a v 2.71 PSP?

Also, I know you can downgrade a 2.0, since then have they figure out how to downgrade a 2.1...a 2.5?

You can downgrade any PSP which has firmware 2.71 or lower. However your PSP can't have a TA-082 motherboard otherwise you can't downgrade. Both 2.01 and 2.5 can be downgraded if they are upgraded to 2.71 first and also if they don't have ta-082 motherboards.

Having firmware 2.71 doesn't mean that the PSP has a ta-082 motherboard.
