Hi people, excuse the prob newb question but...
I have a pioneer A06 & have tried every prog under the sun but cant get ripped dvd's to play on my ps2.
Copied dvd ps2 games work fine & also some movies i have done 1:1 copies also work.
I Have been using DVD DECRYPTER & DVD SHRINK to rip the vob's and then Nero to burn them. I have tried the DVD-Vidoe's & DVD-ROM UBF's functions and nothing works. The finished dvd's work fine in the computer dvd drive.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks ;p

PS I have also tried, TMPGEnc DVD Author to create a menu. which booted up in the ps2 but the main movie would not play.

For the 1000th time - you do not need to use decrypter with DVD Shrink. Just use Shrink to rip and re-encode the files at the same time. Try again with the new files and make sure the 'not multisession' is ticked in DVD-ROM option then go to DVD-Video and burn again.

Thanks for the advice. I havent been using them together tho but have tried both methods. Decrypt & TMPGEnc author and then just DVD Shrink on its own and burn using Nero.

Ill give it a go again tonight, does it matter bout -r or +r?
I have +r's at the moment and have had no trouble with ps2 games just movies.

I have tried burning them as;

DVD - Video
DVD - UBF/ISO
DVD - UBF - physical partition 1.02

All with Nero at 2 speed. Multisession off too.
Just nothing seems to work.
They work fine in my comps dvd drive, using WinDVD, so it looks like some sort of compatability issue but im not sure how to remedy it.

Anyone got any ideas?
Ive read about a dozen guides and have followed them to the letter but to no avail >:o

either + or - is fine for burning, but does your Ps2 player support both? You need to check. Don't forget to use 'no mulitsession' when burning and you can also try the physical partition of 1.50 in UDF/ISO option.

I havce managed to sort the problem now, burning with a physical partition of 1.5 seems to have solved it.

Although i used a rw dvd to test different option before creating another coaster!
Thanks for the help guys/gals ;p

Well done. Physical partition in Nero should be the norm and you can change the setting to 1.50 if you want. This sometimes improves playback compatibility.
