I was wondering if you had to patch games to be able to play them online on the PS2. If so, how would i go by doing that?? r there any other websites or fourms you can link me to about this subject??

there is a tutorial there on how to patch the DNAS on your
back up game to play online

and yes, if you make a back up you must patch it if you want to use the online features, if you do not want online then no patching is needed.

The only mod chip i know right now that you can use and not patch games is the Crystal Chip V1.1 with hacked firmware. It will auto patch games.
