Many Camcorders use the FireWire interface, but I don't know how to use the FireWire inlet on my computer. Can someone help.

Sorry the picture looks so unclear, but you can see the I have 2 USB ports and 1 FireWire port. The FireWire port is covered and I can't manage to put anything in.

Your help is appreciated.

I don't see a Firewire connection on your picture at all.
Firts thing to do is to check if your PC indeed has one.
Right click on "My Computer"->Properties->Hardware tab->DeviceControl->IEEE1394 Bus Host Controllers. Here you should see a OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller.

I didn't think I had a FireWire Port either, but after I read this, I thought so. My computer looks exactly like the one shown in the picture. I don't see why there is a cover on what it says is the picture.

It says that the FireWire Port is where I took the picture last time:

It doesn't seem to be saying that it doesn't work.

Sorry, I made a mistake in that reply. Also, is there a way of resizing the picture. I don't know how to do it without picture editing software.

The first picture is supposed to be:

Now my finger hurts becuase of the scrolling ;-)
Maybe your case is just a standard one used for both systems with and without Firewire.
Again: first check if you have Firewire on board via the Device Managaer as I instructed above....
