So recently I have been playing Gears of War religiously. It is seriously a refreshing change to the first person shooter world. (Though frag tagging is getting stupid). The game even got me to buy the wireless head set (which works like a charm).

My only problem though is that every once in a while, my Xbox just decides to freeze. You can't do ANYTHING. You have to reboot the entire system just to get back to the game. Nothing like DoA4 were you accidentally opened the guide button and froze the game since you had to many things going on at once. At least that has an understandable lock up issue (didn't work on the guide button factor when publishing the game). But Gears of War is different. Brand new HUGE title and it locks up.

Maybe I am playing the game for too long and its overheating causing the system to lock up...but that?s ridiculous. I have the entire system sitting off the floor on a piece of glass shelf and honestly shouldn?t have that problem.

I don?t know, its very aggravating and perhaps if its my Xbox. I would like to know and see if I can send it in for repairs.

-Thanks in advance

This would be my name but its 10 letters long and AD only allows 9 :P

I figured I might try to get a fan for the system, but as it is. The machine is loud. I have seen the one that connects to the xbox they sell in game stores and have been told it sounds like a jet engine afterwards.

The fan item you showed me, does it sound loud? and does it require any modifications to be made to the xbox?

Never mind, the info was all there. Well it requires me to open my xbox. Not sure if im willing to do so.
