Laser is probably fuct. Same thing happened to me.

You think you could be more vague about the problems your having though? If you could describe in more detail maybe I could help more

When I put the disk in it acts as though it is spinning, and the little cirlce in the bottom right corner of the screen just keeps spinning as if it were thinking or trying to load it will make the noises as if the laser is moving a few times then it stops and minutes later it starts up again. After a few of these sequences the psp will say cannot read disk or something to that effect.

Let em know.

thanks.

K, mine does the exact same thing. The dude I took it into claimed the laser was the problem. It makes kind of a spinning/grinding noise right? And when you open up the UMD drive it stops?

Not yet, new laser can be ordered online. If your a bit electronic savvy you can probably install it yourself. What I'd do if Iw ere you is call around to electronics repair stores, ask if they repair PSPs, and how much it'll cost for them to look at it, and how much it'll cost you for a new laser, then go from there.

Unfortunatly when mine dropped the inside LCD screen also smashed to bits, so repairing mine would be alot more pricey.
