There's another thread dedicated to this. Please, see it. There are lots of replies to it too.

Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

AnyDVD 6.0.9.0 or 6.0.9.5 along with Nero Recode will back up this movie special features & menus included. The latest AvyDVD is up to 6.0.9.7

Are you suggesting that 6.0.9.7 WILL NOT uncode All the Kings Men? And
that 6.0.9.0 and 6.0.9.5 WILL? If so, what's going on? Has the MPAA placed a mole at AnyDVD?

Yes...correction I meant AnyDVD 6.0.9.0 or 9.5 with CloneDVD2 2.9.0.1 or 0.3 This movie is like 3 or so hours long and because of this the disc content is too large for Recode2 to compress. It will back up to a standard 4.7GB disc with CloneDVD2 but the compression is poor below 55% which makes for grainy picture. I backed mine up to a 8.5GB DL

I'm trying DVDFAB decryptor on it right now. I use DVD Shrink rather
than DVD Clone. With Shrink, I will try using the DVD FAb files. But
if that fails, I will uninstall 6.0.9.7, and fire up an old 6.0.9.0 or
6.0.9.5, which you say will handle it, right? And with DVD Shrink, right, because I'm not going to pay for clone which does the same
thing. I've got Nero and Ultimate here. Making a DVD from a done .iso
is a nobrainer for any burning software. Confirm for me that you believe I am taking the right path by shifting back to .9.0 or .9.5?

I just tried DVDFAB with All the Kings Men, then tried result in DVD
shrink. Got the same failure message:
"DVD Shrink Encountered an error and cannot continue
Invalid DVD Navigation structure"

Does this mean Shrink is too small for All the Kings Men because of its
three hour length? If so, what free shrink program can I use on this
mammoth file? The DVD Fab program broke it into four 1,048,574 KB VOB
files and a fifth 402,226 KB VOB file.
Here's the first four small files ahead of those big Five which are the main files:
VIDEO_TS.BUP 8kb BUP FILE
VIDEO_TS.IFO 8KB IFO FILE
VTS_01_0.BUP 76kb bup fILE
vts_01_0.IFO 76kb IFO FILE

This movie is only 128min long and doing movie only will get you over 90% compression. The actually movie is only about 4.6BG. It's a $ony movie and Recode barfs on my machine with AnyDVD6097, however shrink always steps in and has no trouble with the Sony movies!Actually a pretty good movie. Save the subtitle cause I had trouble understanding dialogue (some very poor accents) and I'm in Louisiana. LMAO

Process the files created by DVDFab (free) thru VobBlanker first, it will create a new set of video files. Run shrink and and open the files created by VobBlanker and proceed as you normally would using shrink.

Note: AnyDVD should be disabled while using DVDFab to prevent software conflicts between the two.
