Now that you have People PC-you can go to free AOL-try it.
The only problem is that you will be shunted to AOL browser in lieu of MIE.
Have fun

If they have access numbers, try writing down the access number, your login name, and password, and then remove the PeoplePC software. It's spyware anyway, which PeoplePc is well-known for. Then go into Windows' networking tab and have Windows create a new connection, using DUN (Dial-Up Networking).

Most people don't realize that, with rare exceptions, ISP-provided software contains lots of malicious crap, and you can connect to the ISP just fine with the native, built-in networking in Windows (and Linux, Unix, MacOS X, etc.), so you don't need ISP-supplied software to begin with as long as you know what you're doing.

-Do you believe you own your computer and shouldn't be told what you can run and do? Then say *NO* to Microsoft Vista!
-Since half the questions here involve media problems, here ya go: Only use Verbatim or Taiyo-Yuden discs (get your TYs from Rima.com, not Supermediastore or meritline). Forget the rest, no matter what "brand" they sell under. Always burn at 4x speed regardless of the speed rating of this discs or your drive. If you have burn problems with these then you have to update your drive's firmware. For double-layer discs, only use Verbatim DVD+R DL and burn them at 2.4x speed.

i did that with msn but cant seem to remember how to do it again. I tried once but it didn't work. anyone know how to do it.

yeah, its HORRIBLE software.. we would dump it but the fastest even availaible (besides satelite internet) is 28.8 kb/s (yes, KB/S).. and thats on a good connection. anyway, we were tired of paying more than DSL for such a slow connection.
