Is the xecuter used only for the firmware update on the 360? Do I leave the 2 circuit boards in the 360 after I update the 360 DVD drive firmware? or do I take out the circuit boards in the 360?

What is the HDD Xecuter circuit board for? Do I need to update firmware on my HDD also?

no the circuit boarsds are only for supplying power and a sata connection to the 360 drive once you have removed it from your console ..... once flashed simply disconnect the xecuter kit and re-install the drive back into your 360 console as it was
