Xbox fails to load new maps

If I swap projectiles (for example make the smg shoot rockets) or do anything that changes the original signature when I resign it will fail to load. However I have noticed that I can make the smg shoot rockets while making the rocket launcher shoot smg bullets and this will not fail to load because the signature does not change. Does anyone know what may cause this. It did not use to happen. I haven't modded in over a year probably. Could it be an xbox live update that I need to delete or something?
