Mac/Apple Iso Transfer Problem

Everytime I try transferring an iso, or any other big file for that matter, the transfer window on my Mac freezes. Sometimes it completes but not lately. Anyone know what I could try to make sure the file fully transfers?
I've had to use the p.c. in my house to do my transferring and it always works so I know its not a problem with the .ISO or the cord that connects the PSP to the comp.
Has anyone had similar problems when transferring with a Mac? I know theres gotta be a way around it.
Please help me out
