Hi,

I'm sure this question has been asked 2 million times but I have not successfully found an answer yet.

Here are the specs:
PS2 Slimline v12
Flip top installed correctly, will play orignal games without use of magic keys (obviously).
Have magic 3 plus cd/dvd v3.6

As mentioned in the subject title, I cannot even play orignal PS2 games. I tried Jax and Daxter and it said "invalid PS2 disk". Before I go any further (i.e. burning games - which will probably be another mission in itself), what should I do? The only thing I can guess is that my disks are defective...

Also, are there other things that people recommend now that I have the flip top?

Did your PS2 play original games BEFORE you installed the flip top? If so, you may have messed something up while installing it. IF not, then your Ps2 is defective; try the method for correcting "disk read error"s. Before you do anything drastic, try it with a different game disk (an original) and see if it plays; if so, your Jak and Daxter game may be the problem.

Let me make sure I understand correctly...You can play original games, but you can't boot originals with SM? If so, it is defective discs.....
