Hello,

Recently i have attempted to install a DMS 4 PRO SE chip on a PS2 Slim (v13 PAL, GH-032-64)
I have some soldering experience, but i have never installed a modchip before.
I've used 30 AWG Kynar wire, a 18w soldering iron, a scalpel to gently scratch the coating of the copper points, and liquid flux applied with a fine pencil brush. (and a thicker wire for the 3.3v)

Really taking my time, i was quite satisfied with how it was going. The only point that gave me trouble was point X, which i had trouble getting to stick, on my first attempt my iron absorbed all de solder on the point on the motherboard. After a while however, i did manage to fix it.

After all the points on the motherboard where done i wanted to tidy up the wires, and during this, point P came loose (one of the CDVD points). When i attempted to reattach it, it wouldn't stick and when i looked with my magnifying glass after cleaning the point, i saw that the round copper 'ring' was gone at point P.
I thought i fixed this, by putting a little solder on the end of a wire, holding the wire in the hole and heating it. It stuck, so i thought is would be ok.

After tidying up my wires, shortening them, and soldering them to the chip, i reassembled my PS2.
When i reconnected it, the red standy light when on, and when i powered it up, the light turned green.
To my dissapointment however, the screen, while getting a signal, was black, and there was no sound.
I read somewhere about ppl getting it to boot after resetting it a number of times. After pushing reset about 20 times it did infact boot up, i got the sony/ps2 animation, and the dashboard came up.
I was quite relieved that it wasn't 'completely' broken.
I was however dissapointed again, when i found out i could not read/recognise any disc anymore, not even originals, while the ppl that found that resetting got it to work, could all atleast read originals (as far as i know)

I took it apart again and checked everything, but i couldn't really find anything that looks like it's not right.

What can i do to fix this ? :(

I've included a picture of my install (i honestely thought it looked pretty good for a non-pro)
The white pads the wires are on are double-sided tape, the one partly covering the CDVD points was meant as extra reinforcement for the wire attachted to point P.
