everytime i put in a backup game that my friend has made and works on his modded ps2 or when i buy games from other people it always says disc read error when i go into the browser. The only games that work is games that i have bought from shops in countrys like Sudan and Pakistan. What is wrong whith my ps2 i got it modded like 2 years ago.

it's likely a combination of you having a weak laser and the use of inferior low quality media on the backups.
