Hi everyone. I have been using a Swann Opticam for a while now. But yesterday I Installed a new webcam. Its a Manaccom with a built in Mic.It worked just brilliantly. Anyhow I tried to use a program that came with the old Swann Webcam-a program called Video mail. It wouldnt work so I played with the device and audio settings in the program-still didnt work. So then I went back and tried to use my Manaccom webcam-it no longer worked. I had a look at the devices Manager in my computer and the device was under imaging devices and had a big yellow exclamation mark next to it. So I uninstalled the device and the program for Mannacom and tried to re-install. It didnt want to re-install. Came up with error message code 10. SO I did a system restore and tried to re-install. Same problem. So I uninstalled the Optiview cam then tried to re-install my new webcam. Still the same problem. Now its giving me a second message while trying to install "An error occured during the installation of device. The class installer denied the request to install or upgrade this device". I did lose all sound from my computer but have managed to get that back. I think It might be related to the microphone part of my new webcam but am not sure. I have tried to do system restore after system restore-but installed and re-installed, but to no avail. I tried re-installing my old web cam and got that up and running again, but this does not have a built in mic, so thats why I think it may have something to do with that. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this device problem for my new webcam? I have been working on this for 3 days and its driving me mad!!!
Thank you
Sharon
