PS2+SwapMagic Weird Behavior

PS2 Weird Behavior:
(Using Magic Keys and ducttape for internal sensor)
Sometimes spins a disc, stops and spins it again and causes the ps2 not to go straight to the game but to the menu then takes you to the game.

SwapMagic Weird behavior:
Sometimes when I take off a disc or put on the ps2 the laser acts weird and it says "Not A Valid PS2 Disc" or "Insert Bigger TOC" then it screws up and I have to restart.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Ok uh another problem.
I was playing a PSX backup and as time passed by, more and more of the bottom screen began cutting off until eventually only 75% of the screen showed. Can I fix this?
