HELP: How to get my DV project from Premiere to XVid?

Help please. I have editted a movie in Adobe Premiere using DV format. Now I want to store this movie in XVid format with mp3 sound compression.

What is the best way?

From what I read around I may have to export it and go through VirtualBud or something to get this done. But, VirtualDub only reads AVI files, what codec I should use to create the AVI? I want as little loss as possible until I get to the XVid compression.
