Default Storage Device and sleep timer?

Does anyone know if there is a way to set my hard drive as the default storage device? It's the only storage device I have, yet, whenever I play a game like saint's row and go to load game, it makes me select my storage device, even though I have only one.

Also, does anyone know if I can change the sleep timer setting to something less than 6 hours?
