USING USB DRIVES PLEASE HELP.

hi i know alot of ppl have already talked about this but im a really new to this.
i have heard that the drive to use is a jump drive.

1. what is a jump drive, where can i get 1, how much are they.

2. what should the drive be formatted in

and last but not least.

3. is there any kind of special procedure u have to do when putting the files on the drive etc.

any help would be great.

this is a pretty good deal

its pretty straight forward on using this, i believe when you plug it into your computer you'll get a toolbar that pops up on the side of the screen. i think it has tutorials to help people get started. its not difficult. i used a dvd and the flash drive to install YDL. i actually just bought two of them on BlackFriday, as the deals were extremely good.

thanx thats great i live in the u.k, i can get 1gb flash drives for £14.99.

so do i just put the images, music etc on the drive

and stick it in the ps3.

I have a memorex 512mb usb stick that i want to transfer pictures and music to the ps3 with. I knew how to setup the update from the memory stick and it worked. But when i put the music or pictures on the stick and put it in the ps3 none of the files on the stick show up when its on the ps3 only the memory stick itself shows up.

apperently u have to hit triangle and go to show all files

i think that for it to show up without hitting triangle, you have to put it in an appropirate folder like with the psp. you have to do it for the update so i think you have to do it for music and photos as well. i'll test it out and see if that is the case
