Unlock w 8800 anyone?

I have bought this 8800 from pakistan and its probably a U.K. phone. Now I am in U.S.A and like to use it for Cingular network.

I have already tried unlocking the phone by using the code calculator software from worldunlock.com... but didnt work Please help me unlock it before it cannot be unlocked forever.

BtW once i try too many times is it true it cant be unlocked at all?

by pressing #06* I got the seriel number 356641008690118

Looking forward for a genius help

to be able to unlock, your phone we need to know, the network the phone is originaly locked to, how many codes have you tried ?, it's possible the phone is already hardlocked to the original provider

well before bringing to U.S.A i only used it with Mobilink Network. other then that i dont know anything. I have tried it for 3 times and got a code error mesage. How can i be sure of phone been hardlocked?

Insert a NON accepted sim card.When it says phone restricted, press "undo."
It will ask for a restriction code,and enter the code in to the box on screen,and then input this code

#pw+055 483 071 221 270+7#

Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.

funny thing i was following your method and as i put the non accepted CIngular sIm.... I started seeing the bar and Cingular logo.... and I called it worked.... but as soon as i took it downstair it was all gone... and thier was no bar again... i get no network message as i try to call... what do you think should i still follow your method and put the code or is it unlocked already?..

if you have seen the Cingular logo then I would say it's unlocked
