I am generally happy just ripping DVDs onto CDRs, but would like to know if there are some tricks to fit movies (obviously not Titanic or Gladiator) onto a single CDR as some movies are 80 - 100 minutes. It just seems like it should be possible, especially as there are 99 minute CDRs available. Nero options allows you to increase the size (at your own risk) if the media allows it, however this can, allegedly break the drive. Comments anyone? If I have not looked far enough in the forums for an answer, please give me a link.
Thanks, P.

OK, so I am talking to myself and although I have now found in one of the 47 billion threads something vaguely related to my question (OK pretty directly related) I would like (Please, please, please, with a cherry on top) an answer to the following.
1. What is the MAXIMUM length of movie in minutes I can fit on a VideoCD (although I am relatively new to this, I am guessing that the answer will depend on 14 other questions, buts lets assume I use 80 minute discs and want to run the poor little VCD on a standalone player afterwards).
Thats it!
Thanks :-)

Oh yeah, I forgot, I will probably get shot, or something as this is the wrong forum, but why does VFAPI say it is corrupt when I try to use it??? I know I am corrupt, but what has VFAPI done to ingratiate itself?

Simply download it again and re-install the VFAPI Reader codec to solve the issue.
And I assume you're talking about VCD now when you're talking to fit more minutes into one CD? Generally, 74min of video fits into 74min CD in VCD format, 80min to 80min CD, etc.. But the problem is that most of the stand-alone DVD players can't handle longer than 90min CDs.

Okay, so you can put as many minutes of VideoCD on a CDR as you could Audio, but standalones don't read over 90 mins. I get it, thanks :-)
I have done a feedback form (which you can now ignore) for the VFAPI problem, I have tried your suggestion but still having problems. I have XP, are there any reported problems with XP.
Thanks for your help.

I replied to your feedback as I understood that your problem is that ZIP package seems to be corrupted when it comes to your end, even that it's not (just tested it).

Well, just downloaded it and it opened fine this time (secondary location).
I am about to try that permanent subtitle thing from an old thread of yours and Nardone. If you think I should look at other threads/articles as well, please point me in the right direction, otherwise, get some sleep!!! ¦-)

Heh :-) The thread you mentioned should do it nicely. If you end up having problems opening VFAPI files with VirtualDub or opening VDub's pseudofiles with TMPGEnc, look at one FAQ in DVD Ripping forum which explains different solutions to those issues.
