NBA LIVE 2007 backup slow and GLITCHY

I read all the guides to backup my ps2 games. I just backed up San Andreas with no problem using dvd decryptor and imgburn, and it worked perfectly. But when i did this for NBA LIVE 2007, everything went well till i tried to play the backup. The backup game takes forever to load and it glitches a lot. It takes about 2 minutes to start a game on my backup, but on the original, it takes about 20-40 seconds. Can someone tell me what's wrong. Thanks.

Could be the brand of media you're using, you dont say, so cant tell for sure.
Or it could be that the game requires a rebuild.

EA games are a pain in the arse
maybe u need dvdloader to boot with the EA method
