Help needed with some games in 3.02 OE-A

Hi all, complete newbie to the psp. I managed to pickup a Jap 1.5 that had been upgraded to 2.71 se "B" this week and it was running great. I upgraded the firmware lastnight to 3.02 OE-A as a few would not load and I thought this may address it, and that went fine also.

I have downloaded a number of items from various site, however I seem to have problems with a couple of them. They didn't work in 2.71 se"B" and are the same in 3.02 OE-A

Based on the threads associated with these items, no one else is reporting an issue with the games which makes me doubt it's an issue with the iso or cso file.

Brothers in Arms. tried 2 different ones and they both hang once the red bar finally makes it across the screen. can press home and get back to menu.

Tony Hawks Project 8. starts to load and the progress bar gets about 1/4 across and the smart media activity light stops then the psp turns it's self off!

Similar with ATV offroad and smackdown-v-raw 07.

Metal Gear Ops. select game, screen goes blank and no activity. have to remove the battery to reset.

GTA VCS was working fine, but now when selected screen goes blank and does not load.

others such as navy seals, HS golf,sonic, poker, miami vice etc work fine.

had same problem with tony hawks in the end turned off the no umd emulation through 3.02 oe-b's recovery menu, hold R while turning on PSP. need to make sure there is a umd in drive then - this may fix problems with other games

Then it took forever to get past the loading screens. In the end I got UMDGEN and replaced musicp.wad (260MB approx) and replaced it with an empty file (just save a blank notepad document and rename it) and it loads a lot quicker
