I just got my Qoob Pro in and installed it in the console (Revision A). Everything boots up fine into the Qoob menu, etc. The console will read regular original games fine, but when I put in a backup it spins and then stops and says cannot read from dvd, etc.
Any clues on this? I have tried full size Sony (SONY16D1 - Which shows on media guide as good 95%-100% - 1st class media), TDK (TTH02 - which shows on media guide as 95%-100% - 1st class media), Verbatim, Imation, Memorex with no luck. I know the Memorex and Imation can cause laser issues but wanted to see if they would work.
My burner is Lite-On DVDRW SHM-165H65. I also have a Lite-On 812S I could try if that would make a difference. Along with a MADDOG 16XDVD9A2. Or do these matter?
I have tried the Qoob Pro Bios 1.3a, 1.3, 1.3c with no luck. The cube recognizes the bios but no backup play.
I have tried burning these with Nero 6.6.0.18 at 2x, 4x, 6x. Am I using the wrong app to burn these things with? Should I try something else?
Some XMAS gift. haha. Got the chip and now can't get backups to run.

Wanted to add another reply instead of wiping out what I typed before.
Problem is solved. Adjusted POT to about 180 and got Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess to start just fine. Gonna be testing it out over the next couple of days or so on other games to see how they do and try to post results here.

Mario Golf Toadstool Tour - My rip with BBA
Super Mario Sunshine - My rip with BBA
Call of Duty Finest Hour - Downloaded version
Issues:
Super Smash Bros Melee - This is one I downloaded from a site. Screen is double overlayed. Basically black and white with a ghost vision. Not sure what is wrong. Can anyone let me know what is causing this?
Thanks

It could be in a different region or a bad rip.

Yeah thinking bad rip. I have the video set to AUTO for region and another PAL one works fine even though my system is NTSC.
Is there anyway to fix this by chance or not? I was hoping there was.
Thanks,

Well your best bet would be trying to set it at force mode PAL 60Hz.The thing to remember is NTSC and JAP consoles/games will be set at a 60Hz signal, but PAL is set at a 50Hz signal.I don't have a Qoob chip, but I understand the problem.I'm just guessing on this, but try to force PAL mode and see if you get any luck.If it doesn't work it is probably a bad rip and there is nothing you can really do bro.The black and white issue is caused by the region though I'm pretty sure this is the problem.I know you are trying with the Auto setting, but it works sometimes then again you might have to force region change.I hope this helps you out a little bit and hopefully you can get it running.

I would help you out,but I only have the NTSC version of Super Smash Bros. Melee.I would need both the PAL and NTSC version to make a patch. The GameCube doesn't have a PAL to NTSC patcher app as far as I know. The hacked bios files already have it integrated into it already,so I'm stuck on helping you out further bro.I'll try to see if I can come up with something.

So you're trying to run a PAL version of SSBM on your NTSC GC, right?
Try setting the region to NTSC and see if it can force it to output an NTSC signal rather than PAL.
Choosing Auto on the Qoob Pro settings should allow all games to output whatever video standard they were meant to. So by setting it to Auto you're allowing it your GC to output a PAL signal because of the game.\
Oh, and keep in mind that this might not work. I've had issues with first party games disagreeing (not booting, displaying incorrectly on screen) with video forcing while third party games worked just fine.
