Ok i have a v1 ps2 ( i got it when they first came out) ok so i have bought swap magic 3 about a year ago i modded my ps2 correctly so the slide card can go through. Now some games i burn....they don't work meaning when i load them on the swap magic i have a pink screen. Some games worked before but now say "disc read error". Now most of my games orignial and burned say "disc read error". Also some of my games that do work that i burned freeze like just stop in the middle of gameplay. I'm thinking that my ps2 might be close to r.i.p. since its old or it may be dirty. No physicall harm has occured to my ps2. Also when i "try" to load a game i hear a strange clicking noise before i get a "disc read error". As for the burning process i have tried everything. I read posts on here. I tried brands lyk sony, memorex and maxell usually all the brands i hear that are good and all of them are DVD-R. I use dvd decrypther, Alcohol 120 Nero and burn at slowest which is 1. I don't know what the problem is. I'm also thinking that swap magic messed up my ps2 ( i had no problems till i got it) and that a mod-chip would be better for me. Please i seriously need help.

I'm betting you've never cleaned your PS2's laser since you got your PS2. Playing backups constantly (particularly on low quality media) will wear out the laser, whether you use a chip or Swap magic to boot them - so it's nothing to do with Swap magic - it's wear & tear, possibly combined with low quality media, and having never cleaned your laser.

Always 1st with 100% working PS2 Online Game DNA$ IDs!!

Take the screws off the bottom. open it, then threes some screws on the disk tray. take em off and presto. Google how to take apart ps2, and im sure you'll find some pictures
