I dont know what firmware is? or what it does really? can we buy it from stores and get them to install it? like a Pacific mall or something? Do these guys also SELL burned games rather than me downloading and wasting my time? Does this firmware affect XBOX LIVE at all?

Well,

first of all, selling of burnt games is ILLEGAL. one person went to jail for doing this in the UK. So, please don't mention burnt games selling again.

Second, the firmware flash will allow you to make and play backups of you original games so that you don't ruined your original copies.

As for the firmware flash, it all over the internet on how to do it and where to download it. You can't buy this firmware, but there are some people out there that would rip the heck out of you and trying to sell you the firmware. So becareful!

Firmware depends on what DVD rom type you have:
1. samsung ms25
2. samsung ms28
3. hitachi dvd drive

There are documents on the internet where you can determine which dvd rom drive you have from you XBOX 360. changes are you will get a hitachi drive since samsung are from the old batch of XBOX 360 releases.

So, search this forum and google for xbox 360 frimware.

yeh,

in the UK getting your 360 flashed or chipped is ILLEGAL i got finned 2000pounds (about 1500usd) for chipping the old xbox`s, lol, i still do cuz i made like a million more,
