I had heard somewhere that FixVTS could be used to repair damaged discs. Believe me we have plenty of those. If anyone has information on using it with DVDShrink I would appreciate it.

Hey kitty66
FixVTS will repair bad files of dvd's already ripped. Here's some info.

For ripping damaged dvd's try and buff out the scratches etc are best you can something non abrasive. Like a soft clothe and maybe w/ toothpaste. Sometimes it will work but not always.

Try decrypter to rip them too - one of the best for ripping those bad discs.
Or if you have another drive try it - some are better at ripping bad discs.

Whoever told you that FixVTS fix damaged discs is wrong. However, FixVTS will fix/correct corrupted vts, VOB, cell or sectors, etc. that originally were encrypted on the disc by the big guys (i.e. Sony and Macrovision).

On a short note, it (FixVTS) will process, filter out left over junks and create a clean backup of all your ripped files (VOB, IFO, BUP) so you can safely transcode with DVD Shrink, Nero Recode or any of your desire engines.

Best of luck!!

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.
