Hi all, first post, just read the guides on avi2dvd and then how to get the folder into a single iso with imgtool and then to follow up with imgburn. Anyway, I got all the way to imgBurn, and now it gives me two errors when I go to write it saying it can't get exclusive access i believe, how do I go about fixing this, and does it mean the DVD won't work?

Thanks so much, and you guys got a really cool site

Hi bjorgen
Welcome to aD

The error can be saying that another program is accessing the drive.
Close any other burning/dvd programs.

Was the burn successfully? If so try it in a player or a pc might just be fine.

I have Alcohol 120, i assume this is the culprit, how do i disable it? Or can i replace imgburn with alcohol to burn it to dvd?

OK, so I just installed AnyDVD because it said it couldn't play on my dvd player due to region. It played on my comoputer fine, and it says that it's region free. The player IS compatible with DVD+R, which is what I got. If anyone has any help ideas I'm all ears

I don't use alcohol but alcohol does have an option for a virtual drive/image recorder. This might be what's accessing the drive.

You can try to disable in alcohol. The virtual drive will also be listed under 'my computer' showing as a dvd drive.

You problem though on playback sounds more like the AVI was in PAL format and you're in a NTSC region (or vice versa). Will still play in the pc but not on all players.
You'll need to change the format to the region you're in if that's the case. There should be an option for this in the 'step 2 output' tab.

You're welcome bjorgen
Yes I would think w/ avi2dvd you should always have that option 'pal to ntsc' checked. I haven't used avi2dvd in a long time so hopefully that will do it.
Some programs like Nero Vision give you a pop up asking if you want to keep it in that format (if the format differs form the one you're in). For Vision you click no but different program.

Here's a guide for avi2dvd that might help.

Merry Xmas!

@ Mike612,
You need to tell us what the error is. Kinda like saying, "my car won't run" why?
We need more info.

This the only burning program you have a problem with?

Try this and see if it helps.
Uninstall ImgBurn. Run a registry cleaner like the free ccleaner. Use the issues and cleaner options.
Reboot - install Imgburn again - reboot.
