Hello all.

I have read other threads about this topic. (maybe not all...)

I have a modded slim ps2. (matrix infinity mod chip)
My problem is that i get the (-402) error when i try to play online with Ratchet Deadlock (and everything else). Before my ps2 was modded, online games worked. Now that it is modded, they don't. I have the REAL game, yet it still does not work. I have not tried to make a copied and patched one with dnas code. If anyone has any help, it would be greatly appreciated. (btw, i know how to copy and such)

This just doesn't make sense to me, I have the real game, but it doesn't let me go online. Some threads said that to play online, i need a un-modded ps2. (which i don't think is true)

It might be a copy protection system. Because it's chiped it doesn't work. If not, are you banned?
Is your internet working, and is the games server working?
Is your chip compatable with your network card?
Are you behind a router?

NO, I am not banned.........

DNAS takes info from the system to check authenticity of game and such. Of course my internet is working, I'm not that idiotic. The game server is working (from another source, not me because i can't even access it now). Network card? My ps2 is connected to the router/modem by ethernet cable.

It is possible to patch a dnas code to an iso and burn it, making it online capable. So I know that a modded ps2 can play online. But my situation is that I have the REAL game, and it still doesn't let me go online....(maybe it's my mod chip? [matrix infinity])

hey i have the same problem...i was able to play online b4 modding.. now i cant i get the same dnas error... so i didnt know about it and i was stupid enuf to call SONY.. the guy asked if i modded my PS2 i said no.. he walked me thru the "ISP Setup" process... since i got the internet connection test successfull.. we then stopped... i guess he thot its workin.. meanwhile i figured out everythin dat i shudnt have called.. so i was tryina hang up some how... so yeah... for other ppl dunt call SONY... but i still wanna know is it good to calle them or not i mean like they woudnt come to yur home or watevr rite???

Yeah, it could be your mod chip. I'll admit I'm no serious PS2 Modder (yet!), but someone like KC will be able to help you better. But yes, it looks like either SONY have done something, and know that the PS2 is modded, or yeah, its the mod chip. Try he DNAS thing, it might work. Phone SONY, and withhold your number, or, if your worried, get a free number for SONY and do it from a pay phone!

hey josho thankz for the reply... yeh but i dunt think im goin to call them anymore... thers no point.. i'll get into more trouble... so i leave that option out.. i dunt really care about playin online... so ye anyway do u know how i can get in contact with KC still.... thankz again.

Just copy it to your PC, patch it and then burn?

Can you not disable the mod chip while booting?

i dunno how to do all dat stuff...plus i dunt know how to disbale da mod and enable it again.. dunt wanna get into da mess... wat if everytin screws up... but thankz fo yur opinion..
