cant boot my imort game!!!

i have magic keys 2 and i got all the pieces in, and got the disc to spin without the lid close like supposed to, but then i switch the disc when magic keys is booted, i click normal, then NTSC and then it says "booting game disc, and my import disc starts to spin VERY slowly, and then i get the screen with the ps2 memory card, then the screen turns black and says "please insert a playstation2 or playstation game compadible with your ps2.
what am i doing wrong, and what can i do?
please help me

You really should research more....Use special boot mode. I believe this is accomplished by pressing Square, but I could be wrong.
