hi .. i hope there is someone out there with the knowledge to help me..

a friend just bought a new samsung D520.. It was network locked.. He wanted to unlock it so we have entered a "temporary" unlock code from the net .. also from nokiaFree software

now nothing works
the phone wont even accept the original sim card.

what has it done to the phone and can it be reversed????????????

PLEASE help!

this was the instructions:
TEMPORARY UNLOCK:
Put a non-accepted SIM Card and turn it on. Type *#9998*3323#. Press Exit. You will get a new menu. Select Malloc Fail.
