I'm looking for something in the $100 range. I've been talking about getting one and my wife picked me one up for christmas, knowing that I would want to research before I bought one. She is currently on her way to take the piece of junk back to the store. It was an emerson rewr10d4. Which is the refurbished emerson ewr10d4. Emerson didn't even upgrade it to play 8x discs when they refurbished it. I had to call them to see. It will still only take 4x. The firmware disc won't be here until the middle of January but I won't be needing it anyway. So is there any good recorders out for around $100?
